Bio
Karen Christensen is founder and CEO of Berkshire Publishing Group and publisher/editor-in-chief of Berkshire’s monthly journal (and website) Guanxi: The China Letter. Berkshire is a media and information company building global networks of experts to provide a variety of specialized publications for students, professionals, and general readers. Its expertise is global issues and 21st-century trends, with a special focus on China. Berkshire launched its first cooperative venture with a Chinese publishing company in 2006.
Karen is coeditor of the three-volume reference Global Perspectives on the United States (2007) and launched the website www.LoveUSHateUS.com. She is also the author of a number of popular environmental books, including The Armchair Environmentalist, which have been translated into French, German, Chinese (both traditional and simplified), Japanese, Korean, and Thai.
She is a member of the Content Division board of the Software & Information Industry Association and serves on the advisory boards of the Society for New Communications Research and the Text Outline Project. Karen was recently made a member of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations.
