I’ve been meaning to point out how easy it can be to misread something to do with Taiwan, the Republic of China, and the nation we call China, the People’s Republic of China (often written as P.R. China). Here’s an example of something we misread at first.

We’ve suffered this weekend, here at Berkshire Publishing and Guanxionline.com, from another kind of misinterpretation. Our websites were hacked by someone who doesn’t like LoveUsHateUS.com, an interactive website we set up to garner opinions from around the world.If you came here yesterday you saw a black screen with violent anti-American and pro-Lebanon statements. Ironically, there is more anti-American sentiment allowed expression at LoveUSHateUs.com than you’ll find on perhaps any other US-hosted site, and we are as a company committed to global perspectives.
