At my company, Berkshire Publishing Group, we are not only publishing about doing business in China. We’re in the process of actually doing business in China ourselves, and not only with GUANXI. I am dealing with our first rights contract (to publish an English edition of the marvellous Black Horse Chinese Horoscope series that we are already distributing, in Chinese, in the States), planning our first printing (of the Libraries We Love), and working on several coedition projects. This makes everything we plan for GUANXI more vivid, and while our coverage won’t focus on media and publishing very often, some of the questions raised in our own efforts will help us decide on subjects to tackle.
