The photos taken on August 11 show the Beijing National Stadium by Frank YU, or the Bird’s Nest, the main venue for the 2008 Olympic Games.

Located at the Olympic Green, and with a land surface of 258,000 square meters and a seating capacity of 91,000, the stadium will be used for football and athletics competitions, as well the opening and closing ceremonies during the Beijing Olympic Games starting on August 8, 2008.

The project was designed by Herzog & Demeuron (Swiss) and China Architecture Design Institute, and its construction began on December 2003.
